Inland ditches created decades ago in the lowlands of Brandenburg enable the agricultural use of formerly wet land. The water retention in the ditches must now be adapted to the changing climate conditions.

Stable mixed forest stands containing Sessile oak, Birch and Scots pine are the base of a natural forestry in south Brandenburg. In the project soil suitability climate sensibility and timber productivity of there tree species are investigated.
